These detailed instructions will guide you through the process of removing your web browser cache.

Firefox Windows & Macintosh (Clearing browser history/cache)

1. With Mozilla Firefox open, click on the three bars icon towards the top right, then click on "Settings.”

2. On the left side, click on “Privacy & Security” and then scroll down until see the "Cookies and Site Data" section.

3. In this section, click on “Clear" and make sure the following boxes have check marks… “Cookies and Site Data” and “Cached Web Content.”

4. After, click “Clear” and then click “Clear Now” on the following window that opens.

5. To clear the history of web sites you have visited, scroll down and just below, locate the section “History.” Click the “Clear History” option.

6. Finally, restart Mozilla Firefox.

Microsoft Edge (Clearing browser history/cache)

1. Begin by opening Microsoft Edge and select the "...' menu in the upper right.

2. From this dialogue menu, select "Settings."

3. The "Settings" window will now appear.  From the left menu, just below the word “Settings,” choose “Privacy, search and services.”

4. The “Privacy, search and services" dialogue will now appear.  Locate the section “Delete browsing data.”  Next, choose the option to “Choose what to clear.”

5. The “Delete browsing data” window will appear.  From the “Time Range” drop down, choose “Last 7 days” (As depicted in the last image).  

6. Click “Clear now.” Cached Internet Files are now being deleted, depending on the speed of your computer, this may take a few minutes. You will now be returned to the “Settings” window.  You make close this window.  You have just completed the necessary steps to clear your browser cache within Microsoft Edge.

Google Chrome - IOS/iPhone (Clearing browser history/cache)

  1. To begin, tap on “Chrome” app, once open, tap the “…” menu in the lower right.
     
  2. In the menu that appears, tap “History.”
     
  3. In the “History” window, tap the option “Clear Browsing Data…” found in the lower left corner.
     
  4. On the top of this window, tap “Time Range.”  Select “All Time,” tap the “Back” action item
     
  5. The window will refresh, and the option “Clear Browsing Data” will appear along the bottom. Tap “Clear Browsing Data.”
     
  6. A pop window will appear, choose “Clear Browser Data” once again. When finished, choose “Done,” and “Done,” once again to exit the “History” window.

Macintosh Safari - IOS/iPhone (Clearing browser history/cache)

  1. To begin, tap “Settings,” locate “Safari” and tap to open.
     
  2. Scroll down the screen and locate, “Clear History and Website Data.”
     
  3. Tap the option, and a pop up will appear, tap “Clear History and Data.”
     
  4. When done, close the “Settings” window.

Macintosh Safari (Clearing browser history/cache)

 

1. To begin, open Safari, from the drop down menu, select “Preferences.”

NOTE: To remove the history of web sites previously viewed, choose the "Clear History" option, just below "Preferences..."

 

2. Select the “Advanced” tab along the top.

3. Place a check mark in “Show Develop menu in menu bar,” and then close the “Preferences” window.

4. From the drop-down menu, select “Empty Cache.”

Google Chrome Windows & Macintosh (Clearing browser history/cache)

1. With Google Chrome open, click on the three dots at the top right, then click on "Settings."

2. With the "Settings" page open, scroll down until you see the "Privacy and Security" section and click on “Clear browsing data” at the bottom of this section.

3. With the "Clear browsing data" box open, select the appropriate time range and make sure the following boxes have check marks… “Cookies and other site data” and “Cached images and files.”

4. After, click "Clear data."  Finally, restart Google Chrome.
