Note: Customers who use a wireless or wired router will need to contact the manufacturer of the router for proper configuration information. MTE Users who wish to connect a game console using either a switch or a direct connection to the MTE port will need to contact PenTeleData Customer Service and register the MAC Address of the game console. For information on how to obtain the MAC Address of the console you will need to contact the manufacturer of the game console. Customers using a router to connect both a game console and a PC can authenticate both devices using Captive Portal web authentication on the PC and therefore do NOT need to register the MAC Address of the game console.

Microsoft Xbox 360 – Multi-Dwelling Units

Connect an Ethernet cord to your MDU Port/switch.
Power on your Xbox 360 game console. If you have a disc in the game console tray, please remove it.
This will take you to the Xbox dashboard. Navigate to the "System" tab and select "Network Settings.”
From the "Network Settings,” select "Edit Settings.”
"IP Settings" should be set to "Automatic,” if it is not, select it and choose "Automatic" to obtain the IP Address.
"DNS Settings" should be set to "Automatic,” If it is not, select it and choose "Automatic.”
Hit "B" to return to the "Network settings" and select "Test Xbox LIVE Connection.”

If the test succeeds, you have completed the Internet setup for your Xbox 360.

If the test fails, you will need to contact Microsoft Xbox support to troubleshoot your Xbox 360.

Microsoft Xbox 360 - High-Speed DSL

Connect an Ethernet cord from your DSL Modem to the Ethernet port on the Xbox 360.
Power on your Xbox 360 game console. If you have a disc in the game console tray, please remove it.
This will take you to the Xbox dashboard. Navigate to the "System" tab and select "Network Settings.”
From the "Network Settings,” select "Edit Settings.”
"IP Settings" should be set to "Automatic,” if it is not, select it and choose "Automatic" to obtain the IP Address.
"DNS Settings" should be set to "Automatic.” If it is not, select it and choose "Automatic.”
Select the "Additional Settings" tab.
Select "PPPoE Settings.”
- Select "User Name.” Next, enter your High-speed DSL username.
  - If your High-speed DSL Service is provided by Palmerton Telephone Company:
    Enter your username followed by "@ptelco-dsl" (without the quotes) in the "User Name:" field.
  - If your High-speed DSL Service is provided by Ironton Telephone Company:
    Enter your username followed by "@itcdsl" (without the quotes) in the "User name:" field.
Select "Password." Enter in the password that corresponds to your High-speed DSL username.
NOTE: User names and passwords are case sensitive. Please be certain that your capitalization is correct.
Select "Done."
Hit "B" to return to the "Network Settings" and select "Test Xbox LIVE Connection.”

If the test succeeds, you have completed the Internet setup for your Xbox 360.

If the test fails, you will need to contact Microsoft Xbox support to troubleshoot your Xbox 360.

Microsoft Xbox 360 - High-Speed Cable

Connect an Ethernet cord from your Cable Modem to the Ethernet port on the Xbox 360.

Microsoft Xbox One – Multi-Dwelling Units

From the "Network Settings,” select "Advanced Settings” and choose your Network Connection.
"IP Settings" should be set to "Automatic,” if it is not, select it and choose "Automatic" to obtain the IP Address.
"DNS Settings" should be set to "Automatic,” If it is not, select it and choose "Automatic.”

Microsoft Xbox One - High-Speed DSL

Xbox One is not compatible with DSL. If you are not directly connected to a router, you would need to configure it using Windows Internet Connection Sharing. This is not supported.

Microsoft Xbox One - High-Speed Cable

Connect an Ethernet cord from your Cable Modem to the Ethernet port on the Xbox One.
Power on your Xbox One game console. If you have a disc in the game console tray, please remove it.
If you get the “You’re Connected” Screen, please follow the instructions or proceed to the next step.
This will take you to the Xbox dashboard. If you are signed into a profile, navigate to My Games and Apps. If you are not signed into a profile, proceed to the next step.
Scroll left from Home to open the guide. Select “Settings,” “All Settings,” “Network” and then “Network Settings.”

Select "Wired Connection.”
Click "OK" on the next screen. At this point, your console will attempt to connect to the Internet.

If the test succeeds, you have completed the Internet setup for your Nintendo Switch.

If the test fails, you will need to contact Nintendo support to troubleshoot your Nintendo Switch.

Nintendo Switch - High-Speed DSL

Nintendo Wii U - High-Speed DSL

If you do not get the wizard, you should see the PS4 UI menu. Navigate to "Settings" and select "Network" and ensure "LAN Cable" set to "Enabled.”
Scroll down to "Set Up Internet Connection" and press "X.”
Select "Use a LAN Cable" and press "X.”
Select "Easy" and press "X.”
Follow the screens. The standard settings are automatically selected.
Press "X" to "Test Connection.”

If the test succeeds, you have completed the Internet setup for your Sony Playstation 4.

If the test fails, you will need to contact Sony Playstation support to troubleshoot your Playstation 4.

Playstation 4 - High-Speed DSL

Connect an Ethernet cord from your DSL Modem to the Ethernet port on the Playstation 4.
Power on your Playstation 4 game console. If you have a disc in the game console, please remove it.
This will take you to the PS4 UI menu. Navigate to "Settings" and select "Network" and ensure "LAN Cable" set to "Enabled.”
Scroll down to "Set Up Internet Connection" and press "X.”
Select "Use a LAN Cable" and press "X.”
Select "Custom" and press "X.”
Select "PPPoE" and press "X.”
- Enter your username and password in appropriate fields. When you are finished, press "X.”
  - If your High-speed DSL Service is provided by Palmerton Telephone Company:
    Enter your username followed by "@ptelco-dsl" (without the quotes) in the "User ID:" field.
  - If your High-speed DSL Service is provided by Ironton Telephone Company:
    Enter your username followed by "@itcdsl" (without the quotes) in the "User ID:" field.
    Note: User names and passwords are case sensitive. Please be certain that your capitalization is correct.
Press "X" to "Test Connection.”

If the test succeeds, you have completed the Internet setup for your Sony Playstation 4.

If the test fails, you will need to contact Sony Playstation support to troubleshoot your Playstation 4.

Nintendo Wii - Multi-Dwelling Units

First, make sure you have an Ethernet cable connected directly from your MTE Port/switch.
With the power turned off on the Wii game console; insert the Wii LAN Adapter into the USB port on the back of the Wii game console.
Connect an Ethernet cord from your MTE Port/switch to the Ethernet port on the Wii LAN Adapter.
Turn on the Wii game console and follow the steps below to configure the Internet connection settings.
On the Wii game console's main menu, click on the "Wii button" in the lower left corner.
This will take you to the settings screen. On this screen, click on "Wii Settings".
In the Wii System Settings, click on the blue arrow on the right to reach the second screen of options. On this screen, click the "Internet" button.
Select "Connection Settings".
Select an empty connection slot indicated by "None".
Select "Wired Connection".
Click "OK" on the next screen. At this point your console will attempt to connect to the Internet.

If the test succeeds, you have completed the Internet setup for your Nintendo Wii.

If the test fails, you will need to contact Nintendo support to troubleshoot your Nintendo Wii.

Nintendo Wii - High-Speed Cable

Note: The Nintendo Wii game console requires a LAN adapter, sold separately.

First, make sure you have an Ethernet cable connected directly from your High-speed Cable Modem.
With the power turned off on the Wii game console; insert the Wii LAN Adapter into the USB port on the back of the Wii console.
Connect an Ethernet cord from your Cable Modem to the Ethernet port on the Wii LAN Adapter.
Turn on the Wii game console and follow the steps below to configure the Internet connection settings.
On the Wii game console's main menu, click on the "Wii button" in the lower left corner.
This will take you to the settings screen. On this screen, click on "Wii Settings".
In the Wii System Settings, click on the blue arrow on the right to reach the second screen of options. On this screen, click the "Internet" button.
Select "Connection Settings".
Select an empty connection slot indicated by "None".
Select "Wired Connection".
Click "OK" on the next screen. At this point your console will attempt to make a connection with your High-speed Cable Modem.

If the test succeeds, you have completed the Internet setup for your Nintendo Wii.

If the test fails, you will need to contact Nintendo support to troubleshoot your Nintendo Wii.

Microsoft Xbox - Multi-Dwelling Units

First, make sure you have an Ethernet cable connected directly from your MTE Port/switch.

Next, turn on your Playstation 3 game console. If you have a disc in the game console, please remove it.
Connect an Ethernet cord from your MTE Port/switch to the Ethernet port on the Playstation 3.
This will take you to the XMB home menu. Navigate to "Settings" and select "Network Settings" on "Internet Connection" ensure that it is set to "Enabled".
Scroll down to "Internet Connection Settings" and press "X".
Select "Wired Connection" and press "X".
Select "Easy" and press "X".
Press "X" to "Test Connection".

If the test succeeds, you have completed the Internet setup for your Sony Playstation 3.

If the test fails, you will need to contact Sony Playstation support to troubleshoot your Playstation 3.

Playstation 3 - High-Speed DSL

First, make sure you have an Ethernet cable connected directly from your High-speed DSL Modem.
Next, turn on your Playstation 3 game console. If you have a disc in the game console, please remove it.
Connect an Ethernet cord from your DSL Modem to the Ethernet port on the Playstation 3.
This will take you to the XMB home menu. Navigate to "Settings" and select "Network Settings" on "Internet Connection" ensure that it is set to set to "Enabled".
Scroll down to "Internet Connection Settings" and press "X".
Select "Wired Connection" and press "X".
Select "Custom" and press "X".
Select "Manual Settings" and press "X".
Select "PPPoE" and press "X".
Enter your username and password in appropriate fields. When you are finished, press "X".
