We thank you for choosing High-speed Internet Service from PenTeleData. These instructions will guide you through the setup of the Microsoft Xbox 360 and connect you to the Internet. After you are finished with these instructions, you may want to put them in a safe place. These instructions may be a helpful reference in the future. Note: Customers who use a wireless or wired router will need to contact the manufacturer of the router for proper configuration information. 1. First, make sure you have an Ethernet cable connected directly from your High-speed DSL Modem. 2. Next, turn on your Xbox 360 game console. If you have a disc in the game console tray, please remove it. 3. Connect an Ethernet cord from your Cable Modem to the Ethernet port on the Xbox 360. 4. This will take you to the Xbox dashboard. Navigate to the “System” tab and select “Network Settings.” 5. From the “Network Settings,” select “Edit Settings.” 6. “IP Settings” should be set to “Automatic,” if it is not, select it and choose “Automatic” to obtain the IP Address. 7. “DNS Settings” should be set to “Automatic.” If it is not, select it and choose “Automatic.” 8. Select the “Additional Settings” tab. 9. Select “PPPoE Settings.” 10. Select “User Name.” Next, enter your High-speed DSL username. If your High-speed DSL Service is provided by Palmerton Telephone Company: Enter your username followed by “@ptelco-dsl” (without the quotes) in the “User Name:” field. If your High-speed DSL Service is provided by Ironton Telephone Company: Enter your username followed by “@itcdsl” (without the quotes) in the “User name:” field. 11. Select “Password.” Enter in the password that corresponds to your High-speed DSL username. Note: User names and passwords are case sensitive. Please be certain that your capitalization is correct. 12. Select “Done.” 13. Hit “B” to return to the “Network settings” and select “Test Xbox LIVE Connection.” If the test succeeds, you have completed the Internet setup for your Xbox 360. If the test fails, you will need to contact Microsoft Xbox support to troubleshoot your Xbox 360. |
